Dear Users,

Instinct was experiencing some server issues relating to the gold cart files API activation yesterday afternoon. This problem was preventing users from activating their gold cart files. The problem has been resolved as of this morning (NZT)

Instinct Crew are truly sorry about this. If you were experiencing problems with your API Key please try again. They should now work without any complications.

Again sorry for any inconvenience.

I had the api key working on my localhost testsite. Since i reset it on my localhost, i can’t activate it on my Website. It says “Api key invalid” on both sites… How can i activate the goldcart key on my website?

I can activate the api key on my localhost testsite. I deactivated it for 2 hours, but it still doesn’t activate on the actual website.

I contacted Jeff on dev@instinct.co.nz with all details to my site (wp-admin and ftp access) but he activated the API Key actually in their database. So there was nothing I could do about it. Now it works – great support!

I am missing some of the modules that I purchased and need to re-download them, as well as get the API.

The site is running, but I don’t have everything installed. How do I re get the software and keys.

I purchased Gold Cart tonight and have yet to receive the download link. I have checked spam filter and have tried to find it via the API tool. It says I am not found, but I have the receipt proving I purchased it.

I can’t find the appropriate place to request help, so I am hoping that it gets read here.

Umm… same problem “Sorry, the API key was incorrect.” when attempting to activate the Gold Cart. I suspect I misunderstood the Upgrade panel during the initial process and may have clicked on “Reset API” when I didn’t need to at that point. Now I’ve got everything in place and the Upgrade panel wants me to enter the API and username to Activate the Gold Cart.. and it’s rejecting my API KEY.
I can’t find anywhere in this forum how I request a new one. I don’t even have Askimet activated.

Yup…same thing…

Following these steps with these results prior to submitting this post:

1. I was able to activate the API on the new site, but when I deleted the API on the old site, like a bad dream it keeps coming back. If you’re giving instructions to DEACTIVATE — there’s no “deactivate” option.

2. Akismet works.

3. Firewall? My host wants to know what port you’re using. Any clue?

4. Files are correctly placed, labeled.

5. Yes.

HELP!

Thanks,
John

can i test the gold cart in localhost?

Hi indra, you sure can. Be sure to click Reset API Key once you are finished with your localhost instance as you can then activate your live website 🙂

There are actually lots of particulars like that to take into consideration. That is a nice level to carry up. I offer the ideas above as normal inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up the place a very powerful thing will be working in trustworthy good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around issues like that, however I am positive that your job is clearly identified as a fair game.
