Hey Team. There has been some heated discussion going on about our Gold Files and our Premium Support. Here are the only facts that matter, everything else is here-say and rumor.
At present people can only download Gold Cart updates if they have bought the Gold Files from GetShopped.org, unfortunately this is due to a technical limitation that we did not foresee when migrating to getshopped.org.
We’re thinking of ways to resolve this and I think I’ve come up with a potential solution. There isnt much else I can say except that we’re sorry for the inconvenience and that we are working on.
In the past there was no way for us to prioritize who got support first. Obviously people who have paid for something should get priority – you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to know that!
So what we’ve done is create a Premium Support form that people can use to submit questions to us. This is a form available to anybody with a Gold API key.
This does not mean we will no longer support people who are using the free version. Simply it means people who have paid will get noticed first. This is the first iteration of our new support system and we think its going to rock your world – over the coming weeks we’ll strive to iron out any shortcomings in the system and we’ll be doing everything in our power to make it better and better.
