Gold Files & Support

Hey Team. There has been some heated discussion going on about our Gold Files and our Premium Support. Here are the only facts that matter, everything else is here-say and rumor.

Gold Files

At present people can only download Gold Cart updates if they have bought the Gold Files from GetShopped.org, unfortunately this is due to a technical limitation that we did not foresee when migrating to getshopped.org.

We’re thinking of ways to resolve this and I think I’ve come up with a potential solution. There isnt much else I can say except that we’re sorry for the inconvenience and that we are working on.

Premium Support

In the past there was no way for us to prioritize who got support first. Obviously people who have paid for something should get priority – you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to know that!

So what we’ve done is create a Premium Support form that people can use to submit questions to us. This is a form available to anybody with a Gold API key.

This does not mean we will no longer support people who are using the free version. Simply it means people who have paid will get noticed first. This is the first iteration of our new support system and we think its going to rock your world – over the coming weeks we’ll strive to iron out any shortcomings in the system and we’ll be doing everything in our power to make it better and better.

Oscar I think that is being sorted at the moment as the move to the new site has caused a few issues.
I have to say that I am cheered by Dan’s recent words and hope that the plugin continues in its development.

I currently do not own your product but am seriously considering purchasing it. I have one question about the ability to take recurring payments like as in someone wanting to donate a set amount of money a month for a online Jewish congregation site that we have created in WordPress. I don’t see anyway to ask this question. Is there a way to chat with someone even if I haven’t purchased the product? Since it is a feature question not a tech support question, I didn’t think that the forums was the right forum to use. Any help would be appreciated.

My question is similar to Mr. Brown’s above. I have installed the free shopping cart software for my client and we are contemplating buying the gold cart and member’s only plugin. My client needs to be able to have members subscribe to her service and have a reoccurring charge for the service each month and unfortunately, I haven’t been able to locate any indepth information on the subject on your site. Thank you for your time and assistance!

I have the same question as Alan, I need recurring payments also. I am however an owner of the Gold Cart and the Members plugin. I am looking for the same answer as I have to create a recurring payment option on a clients website.

Hi Guys. Recurring billing works best with Authorize.net and the new Members and Capabilities Plugin that we’re developing – that said we’ve not publicly released the Members and Capabilities Plugin yet, it’s almost ready. If we’ve not released it for public testing by Friday leave a comment on Friday and I’ll make sure that it happens pronto.

i open a ticket 3 days ago and no one answer me.
I paied for goldcart and membership addon (65$) and i cant use them cause a BUG.
There are a lot of people with the same problem in the forum and NO ONE answer to us.
I want my money back.

Hello! I could not find anywhere else to write, but I’ve purchased the gold cart files, and I’ve switched my e-commerce from one site to another, I’ve reset the api key, but I cannot access grid view or purchased features. Can you tell me what’s going on, through e-mail…

superdioz I think I half to agree with you…I can’t use mine… no support, just put in a ticket let’s see how that goes…my e-commerce plugin works but the gold cart files wont…if you ask me, they are just trying to make money off of grid view and what not, it’s stupid! and they don’t respond in time. I am frustrated about this!

Please be patient. We do not work on our NZ weekends (which is when you sent this). We’re working through the log of requests and we will get to you. On that note I’m going to send you a brand new API now just to help out πŸ™‚

I have another problem, and you folks make it extremely difficult to find where I need to post this NEW problem! Okay: my site has the pixopoint dropdown menu, and when I’m on the products page, no where else, the menu drops down BEHIND the graphics and text listed in the e-commerce section, do you know why it does this, I know this is not the right place to post this but I’ve searched for a half an hour to find where I should post it…and guess what…

I’m truly sorry but we do not support other peoples Plugins or Themes.
What you are describing is a theme issue. Does WP e-Commerce work otherwise? Yes. Right. If you want us to support another Plugin then you’ll need to either pay us or pay them to fix it.

On that note the 3.8 release of our Plugin that uses custom post types. OMG its freaking sexy – you can use the new Custom Menu tools to build any type of navigation imaginable!!! Hoorah.

Hi Marc, at this time the Premium Support forum only recognises Gold Cart purchases made here on GetShopped.org, this is a technical limitation not intentional. As soon as the Premium Upgrades Files page supports Instinct.co.nz customers you’ll see the same come over to the Premium Support forum.

Is there an estimated time for the solution of existing Gold API owners? You wrote the text quoted below almost three weeks ago. Is it really that hard? Please do the right thing.

Hi Marc, we’re working on it. I gave it my all this morning to get this working, you’ll see a fresh post on the GetShopped.org Blog when this is available.

Is the Gold Cart upgrade available for purchasers from the previous Instinct site yet as I need to get it onto a site I have been working on and I don’t want to install the old version. I’ve just bought the slider from the new site if that helps?

Hi TheTyke, I just responded to your comment on the latest Blog post. Support for existing Instinct.co.nz customers is just around the corner; a few technical things need to be put in place to enable this. πŸ™‚
