Update: WP e-Commerce Plugin 3.8.13 Beta 1

Weโ€™re pleased to announce that WP e-Commerce Plugin 3.8.13 beta 1 is ready for community testing.

For the users we have

– We now use the new WordPress media UI for product images

– Tidied up UI on all the Store Settings pages except presentation settings (which will be replaced entirely when we introduce the new Theme Engine)

– Fixed a bug with DropShop causing it to not work with latest version of WPEC and WP

– All sorts of fixes here and there to help make WPEC ever more awesome

And for the developers we have

– Cart items API

– Custom meta API

– Stats API (coming soon)

To conclude

To conclude we would like to ask that you have a fiddle and let us know what you think. Stay tuned for our new website, and the imminent and official 3.8.13 release which will be coming sometime soon. Patches and contributions via Github are always welcome ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi, I am still waiting on a response from you sent a couple of weeks ago about removing VAT at checkout. I cannot launch my shop until I find a fix for this and if I have to go to another cart it’s going to cost me a ton. Why haven’t you replied, I spoke with another cart developer today and they replied in 10 minutes what gives?

Hi thorwilly, do you have the Drop Shop Plugin installed and activated within your store? Can you confirm what version of it and Gold Cart if installed you have. ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s a tutorial for changing the language to Spanish, swap out the ‘es’ and ‘ES’ to your country code.

1. Change in config.php WPLANG to: define (‘WPLANG’, ‘es’);

2. Then go to: /plugins/wp-e-commerce/languages/

3. Create a backup directory in there and move all files to that directory, except:

EN_en.php
wpsc-es_ES.mo
wpsc-es_ES.po

4. Next, RENAME the .mo and .po files to:

wpsc-es.mo
wpsc-es.po

5. The language for WordPress and WP e-commerce should now both be set to Spanish.

is /plugins/wp-e-commerce/languages/ still there? i see only /plugins/wp-e-commerce/wpsc-languages/? Or should we create a new folder languages?

I have been having troubles recently with my shopping cart. They seem to have begun when the last WordPress update went through but all of the issues appear to be with WPeCommerce. My pop up box where it adds in the shopping cart won’t close when you hit the ‘x’ to close. I added in links so people can at least get out of the box. Next, I had added a coupon code and distributed it with my first newsletter. Now when you use the code it says that the cart is empty, even though it wasn’t when you entered the code. I’m not sure how to fix these issues. Everything is up to date on my plugins. Any help would be so appreciated going into the holiday rush!

Hi, there, I guess it’s try the WPEC/Get Shopped don’t give a toss about their customers, if there is anyone else out there, let’s band together and write complaints to all the government bodies that dealt with trading standards this may enable us to snap WPEC/Get Shopped out of their lethargy and start behaving like a company that cares.

Hey Chris. We absolutely care about our customers and Iโ€™m sorry you havent got the support that you need yet โ€“ Visser is right in that the best way to get support is to go through the support processes that weโ€™ve put in place for these types of situations.

The issue I currently have is that after successfully purchasing digital downloads (money goes through fine)… the ‘YOUR DOWNLOADS’ tab still says ‘You have not purchased any downloadable products yet.’ Try it for yourself here – https://robt.info/bitcoin-store/ Any help???????

Have also noticed with 3.8.13 Beta that upon login, my site empties everything that was previously in the customers shopping cart. So they have to start again…
